Just finished uploading the music videos to Microslut and The Gutterpop Song from the Morbid Nutsac movie, "Escape from Figg Shopp" A shortened version of the movie will be on YouTube by mid- February, in tandem with a longer director's cut version which will be available for free at the Germicidal Ink Store. Also be on the lookout for a youtube release of "Enter the 3d6 Chambers of Death", the premiere single by my new hip-hop project, "Forgotten Rhymes", hopefully online and alive by mid- March. OK, you watch the videos, i have to figure out a cover for the movie...

How will you spend your last days?

So it just started gearing up in my head again, "This is it, the last year of human existence." And how will i be spending the last moments of my life? Do i even believe that this is really going to happen? Now with the emergence of what i consider to be the most important thing i've ever done, that being my BIOTS toys, i really don't like the idea of not being being able to see it to fruition. I suppose it is not my place to question the grand design, but i think we're all just a little bit entitled to be bitter about it. Maybe we are spoiled by our technological achievements, but seeing the pinnacle of progress and then it's subsequent immediate demise really is a bit of a pisser. Thanks a lot, God.
On the other hand, if the whole thing is just a bunch of astrological hooey, then i feel i'm certain i'll get a few more years to work on my toys before pollution kills us all more slowly and painfully.
So what will you do with your time? Will you live like there is no tomorrow, partying it up, drinking and fucking until the comet comes, or will you live prudently, shushing away the idea as mere poppycock, and continuing to save for a day that may never come? I really can't decide which is better.
I used to live like there was no tomorrow, but tomorrow kept coming, and bringing new hangovers and problems as i put it off. I don't know if i'm just partying on the sensation, or planning for an unachievable future, but sculpting these things is about the most fulfilling thing i've ever done, and if these be my last moments, i can know i'll die doing what i loved most: shunning adulthood and being a big kid :)

I miss Nate's

This tattoo is entirely unrelated to Nate's Taco Truck Stop, but it's going to be the post for the evening because i am rather proud of this tattoo. I had drawn a picture for Nate's, a local Jackson Ward carry out diner, that has mysteriously closed down, despite being frequently busy. It was something of a coincidence that shortly after drawing a picture of a taco for them, that a random customer would walk in off the street and ask for a taco tattoo.
Also but a lonely speck of memory is Vito's, an Italian restaurant on VCU campus that shut down ahead of it's time. Vito's was my favorite Italian food in town, despite being owned and operated by a family of Mexicans. This is why it is of little difference to me that Nate's was a delicious Mexican food joint run by white guys. All that aside, i really miss that place, that magical dream land of chicken skin tacos...

Settling into the new shop

At first i was very skeptical about the new tattoo shop and whether i had made the correct choice in moving my business there. It seemed to me that i was slowly grinding my tattoo work to a nothing, and for a minute it almost seemed as if i might not be coming back from that this time. However, it is now seeming more and more that business is picking up and may even well exceed our initial expectations! I don't know if the end of the world is coming or not, but i do know that here pretty soon, 212 Tattoo is going to become THE hot spot in Richmond. The gears are beginning to turn and that shop is growing into quite an artful and productive place to be! It is almost unfortunate that now as we pick up speed, i have to leave again to tour with GWAR. But it will be a short tour, and then i shall soon get a chance to tattoo again!

Hard at work on some new results

I've begun working on the drawings for the BIOTS card game, "Battle for Alnesta" an addition-based dueling game for two or four players. It is scheduled to be part of the BIOTS toy release October of this year. The first run of the Boost character is sculpted and molded, and should begin casting by the end of May. So much still to do but so much excitement to see it as a reality!

If i may tone it back a bit, i'd like to address something of a more personal matter. Now, we are all human here and of course one man's trash is another man's treasure, and it can only go without saying that what seems like torture to one person might just be a typical day in the life of another. And i am in no place to assign the title of taboo to certain behaviors just because they don't appeal to me, but there is a point where one need's to put one's foot down!
Just this past week a close friend of yours truly was subject to a very terrible occurrence. Someone abducted a lawn decoration from his front yard late one night a few weeks back. The poor guy awoke the next day to find his favorite lawn gnome missing, and believe me, he did not take that news well! He called me that day, clearly very distraught and panicked, asking about his red lawn gnome. Unfortunately, i couldn't offer any answers as it became more and more evident that this was really happening. It didn't become clear the full extent of human depravity until this week when he found an unaddressed envelope in his mail. To his horror, the envelope contained photos of HIS OWN RED LAWN GNOME, tied to a stake and dressed in make up and drag, apparently forced to model a photo shoot with a toy motorcycle.
This is beyond disgust and horror. This is the tenth degree of unforgivable and i can't believe i have to share my breathing air with the sort of piece of shit that could perform this manner of atrocity. If this isn't shocking enough, then sit down. Because this happens ALL THE TIME. The federal Bureau of Approximated Statistics reports over FORTY CASES A YEAR of home vandalism involving lawn gnomes. This has got to stop, people. The internet is flooding with pornographic web sites featuring simulated forced gnome portraiture, catering to the "erotic fetish fantasy" demographic, but what happens when children are unguided in seeing these images and develop a sense that this is a correct means to stimulation. I am on the verge of tears thinking of the tens of hundreds of dollars spent on lawn decor only to be unjustly treated in the name of "Viral Video Extremism". What horrors will we be witness to five years from now at this rate if this trend goes unchecked?
If we don't take action now to put this to an end, not only gnomes, but plastic flamingos, concrete squirrels, even lawn jockeys may become subjected to this highly inhumane treatment. And as far as i'm concerned, if you're entertained by a lawn gnome and a plastic flamingo forced to reenact scenes from Thelma and Loise or Top Gun, then you're in inhuman fucking monster. Period.

On the advent of discovering programmable cartoon software

Have you seen this, have you heard about this? Xtranormal.com Is now offering movie maker software that allows the user to program their own cartoon movies by way of text-to-speech programming. This is hands down the greatest thing i've ever seen! The basic model allows you to choose a scenario, humorous premises from teevee land in black and white to cartoon toy presidents, college campus stereotypes, even celebrity personalities. I began with "superzeroz" some rather silly would-be comic book marvels who didn't quite make the cut.

I will be looking more into this program in the future, a BIOTS cartoon may be possibe after all!

Countdown to Christmas

The holiday season is coming and that means selfishness, short tempers, and unachievable expectations of peace and kindness from the populace at large. Now working to maintain a weblog in addition to the other heaping mountain of unfulfillable responsibility i've taken on in my life, i vow to have my BIOTS toys available next Christmas, and to make Germicidal Ink Toys a grand success. By the next update i should have some pictures to offer, maybe some fresh tattoos along the line, who knows!
